Happy Father’s Day to all Dads out there!

How was your father’s day celebration? Ours was simple. We stayed here at home. Turbo-broiled chicken for our lunch, it was so good it almost tastes like Max’s chicken, or even better! No kidding. Had cheese-flavored french fries and orange soda for meryenda (midday snack). Had Nilagang Baka (beef stew) for dinner cooked by my Dad. Love my Dad’s cooking!

It was just a simple celebration, nothing fancy. But it was fun. Everyone except for my Kuya, stayed here at home to spend time with the family. :D

Aside from giving my Dad cash as a gift, I also got him 2 cakes (slices) from BreadTalk. To me, it’s not a celebration if there’s no cake! Here they are:

Mango Furomaji. This cake puts a smile on my face! Told myself “I had to get this for dad. hope this makes him smile too” ^_^

Hazelnut Story. I don’t know if its delicious, but it looks yummy, right? ;)

Another reason why I chose these cakes, the two were the last few slices of its kind ^_^ I hope they don’t disappoint me… and my Dad of course. :boogie:

My father is the sweetest, most caring and coolest Dad on earth. If I were to be reborn and could choose who I’d like my Dad to be, it will always be him. Love you papa! :)

New Favorite Ice Cream

If you know me in person, you’ll know me as someone who loves eating anything sweet. I love ice cream so much, even when I’m full I still could finish a pint in one sitting.

My last favorite ice cream was the mickey mouse ice cream sandwich when I was still a kid, which has long been out of production. I don’t actually have a favorite ice cream at the moment , until I’ve tried…

*drumroll*

…. Chocolate Truffles ice cream from Selecta Gold Series! My new favorite

Yummy creamy chocolate ice cream just the way I like it! and with tiny chewy truffles which seemed like fudgy brownies to me. I could eat this everyday and not get tired, really. A little pricey (195PHP for 800ml) but it’s worth every penny! My only regret with this ice cream is I didn’t try it sooner. XD

I’ve also tried Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups ice cream from Selecta Hershey’s Collection coz it has my favorite Reese’s peanut butter cups which is a favorite of mine:

A decent ice cream but not a favorite. :P Costs 140PHP for 800ml. Looking forward to trying Nestle’s Crunch ice cream next…

Anyway, Puregold Molito near Alabang Town Center, where I buy my ice creams, now sells Korean ice cream! :boogie: I’ve been wanting to try Korean ice creams but never had the chance to do so. Imagine my delight upon knowing I can get Korean ice creams somewhere near our office! For a first, I bought the fish-shaped red bean ice cream sandwich for 38PHP. To be honest the vanilla ice cream was good, but overall I don’t know… I just don’t like beans on my ice cream, so there. Nevertheless, I still want to try the rest of the Korean ice creams!

What’s your favorite ice cream? :D
