… when Paramore rocked Manila.
They made March 9, 2010 truly a date to remember.
I thought I could let it pass. But when I tried to imagine myself at home while other people are having a blast watching them on stage, I felt depressed. it was too heartbreaking for me to bear.
It’s Paramore’s first concert in the Philippines after all. Took them 5 years since their debut before they were finally able to hold a concert here. What the hell was I thinking, to even consider letting it pass?
I finally convinced myself and decided to go the day before the concert itself. Thanks to my bf who accompanied me although he’s not a big fan of the band.
The band performed 14 songs from their 3 albums. The concert lasted no longer than an hour and a half. Nevertheless, it was an amazing night.
To hear them perform live is already a privilege, and I feel luckier to be even situated somewhere where I can somehow decently see Hayley during the entire performance (as opposed to seeing Hayley as tiny as a dot probably from the bronze section or get my view blocked by everyone in front). I’m so glad I changed my mind and did come.
The ecstatic feeling that night still hasn’t worn off yet.
I feel like I can watch the MV of The Only Exception and sing along over and over again all day and not get sick of it:
I’m keeping my hopes high about them fulfilling their promise to return to Manila within 5 years. Imma start saving up and secure myself a ticket providing a better view of the band next time. Paramore, I’ll be waiting for your come back! ![]()

I did not get to watch it.
Yes, you’re right, to watch them perform is an amazing experience. I wish I was there, too. :| Pssh. But yeah, I’m glad you had fun.
