If you’re given the chance to go abroad, what country would it be? I used to dream of going to Japan during those days when I was too hooked with anime, but it all changed after seeing the Lord of the Rings movies that were filmed in New Zealand. I just couldn’t resist the beautiful scenery and the pleasure it gives my eyes. The only problem would be, I live in a tropical country and I’m more comfy with warm weather, so I guess I’ll have a hard time dealing with very low temperatures. (anyways, I think underfloor heating can handle that)
And if ever I get to go abroad, I have no plans of staying anywhere else for long. A month or week-long visit or touring will do. I am too attached with the Philippine culture to not leave this place.
What’s yours? ![]()
… are never synonymous.
When you are being frugal, you’re trying to save money, either by buying something more economical or refraining from buying things you can live without. There’s no harm done, and if ever there is, it’s all unto yourself.
But not spending and living off others instead, isn’t being frugal. You inflict harm unto others by eating off their resources which they worked hard on, while yours remain intact. It’s called greed.
There’s nothing wrong with being frugal. But if you notice that your so-called “frugality” is causing people to recoil from you, that’s when you rethink. Your definition of frugality maybe wrong and you mistake it for greed.
Just a thought someone I know (who unfortunately is a living example of this) helped me come up with.
PS: I miss blogging and pouring out my thoughts. And this returning-comment thing/policy won’t stop me from doing so.
