Went to MOA yesterday for a movie/dinner/concert date with my Pi (I call my bf Pi, short for piggy coz he’s gotten fat). It’s been almost a month since we last went on a date, coz the past weekends I was busy getting drunk at some bar in QC. XD

We’re supposed to watch Resident Evil 4: Afterlife in 3D. If you’ve been closely following my blog, you’ll know how much I love Prison Break (like, it’s my fave American TV series of all time) and its lead actor Wentworth Miller! Wentworth’s in RE 4, and since bf and I are huge Prison Break fans, we’re gonna make sure we watch it on 3D. Unfornately, as of the moment it’s available only in 2D, so we’ll just wait til the 3D is released.  We watched The Last Exorcism instead, bf is a sucker for movies about exorcism. For me it’s a good movie, not awesome but just good. :)

After the movie, we went to buy my Aunt wedge flip flops and for myself, sandals to match the brown Mango bag my Aunt gave me 2 weeks ago. And I got this pretty and stylish gray/brown flats on sale for only 500 PHP. It’s really fab when worn!

For our dinner we decided to try something new. We were craving for something mexican, but Taco Bell doesn’t have a branch in MOA, so we tried El Pollo Loco for the first time. And we pigs really pigged out. XD

2 Pc Chicken Combo ( with 2 spanish rice, 2 pcs tortillas and salsa). Their spanish rice reminds me of Arroz Valenciana! :) Both the rice and chicken tastes good! Traditionally you would shred the chicken, and along with the spanish rice and salsa you put it on top of a tortilla and then roll it. But you could also eat it as it is. The latter I prefer ;)

Spaghetti. Wasn’t expecting it to be sweet! Don’t get me wrong, I love it when my spaghetti is sweet, in fact, my favorite is Jollibee’s spaghetti. :)

Nachos. Their nachos are different from the usual ones. The texture and appearance is like that of fried dumpling wrappers. I’d be honest, I didn’t like it.

El Pollo Loco has a lot of affordable items on the menu, so I’d still urge you to try it for yourself. :D

Our last activity was attending Intensity concert, featuring Rain, with U-Kiss as guest performers!  It’s U-Kiss 3rd time here in the Philippines. Well, we just watched the projection screen from outside the Silver section since we’re dirt poor at the moment. Besides, I won’t pay 500 PHP for a Bronze ticket, only to be placed at the farthest section w/o a decent view of the stage and to see only 4 performances of U-Kiss. You might be thinking I should’ve just watched it on YT… but I just wanted to be there, hear them live than recorded and see them perform even just on the screen. ^_^

U-Kiss performed only 4 songs namely Bingeul Bingeul, Mworago, End of the Road and Man Man Hani. They’re still hot as ever, or even hotter!  I’m liking Eli’s long black hair and the fact that Kiseop’s hair is back to black! Kevin danced to Miss A’s Bad Girl Good Girl, and Dongho to Secret’s (my current most fave Korean girl group) Magic. And had I mentioned that they’re currently recording a mini-album and they’ll probably be back in Philippines soon? Can’t wait for their next visit! :boogie:

I had a great time with my piggy! This is one of the most eventful dates we ever had. I missed him so much. Hoping for more times like these to come soon!

“Kuya” is the Tagalog term for older brother. I have one, he’s my only sibling, and it was his birthday yesterday. We just had a simple celebration. My Aunt cooked for us one of my favorite food, Arroz Valenciana (I’m not sure if you guys are quite familiar with it), which I think she haven’t done since Christmas last year:

It’s a native Filipino dish. I like stuffing mine with lots of egg slices, heh. My tummy was happy! :boogie:

My Kuya was so interested in Nokia’s latest release, Nokia C3 which is a very cheap qwerty with wifi phone. He was running low on moolah, so I gave him cash as a gift and I offered to lend him some more so he could buy himself a present on his own birthday. Off to the mall we went, but C3 was already out of stock. So he got Nokia 5530 instead. It’s such a nice phone:

So not me… I mean, lending huge money to my Kuya, whom I have money issues with. He spends all of his money on gaming, borrows money, rarely pays on time, even forgets to pay and has a smaller share in family expenses. :suspicious:

We rarely show how much we care for each other. We were always governed by our own selfishness. He should be the one looking out for me and stepping up to our responsibilities. I should be the carefree and childish one, not him.

But he never forgets to give me presents on my birthday, and I figured now that we’re older, have jobs and could easily buy each other gifts, it’s time I stop taking his birthday for granted. It was really nice seeing him happy with his new phone, like a kid getting his first toy. ^_^

That evening I asked him to buy me a small cup of ice cream, and he came back with a pint and did not ask me to pay for it! My Kuya is really nice, he just doesn’t want or know how to show it. With that small deed I felt that he appreciated me. :)
