… even in college. Here in the Philippines we call it Calculus, i think it’s Algebra 2 in other countries.

It feels as if I just learned adding fractions a year ago, was just in high school graphing linear equations a month ago and just took up Calculus yesterday. The next thing I know, I tend to my desk job that doesn’t involve numbers much. Time flies fast, eh? I do admit a part of me misses solving challenging math-related problems somehow.

But to tell you the truth I have already forgotten every hardcore math I ever learned, probably due to the fact that I don’t know how to apply that knowledge in real life. I find it funny how I still remember formula for volume even though I only memorize formulas back in the days. Actually it’s only 4th grade math (remember MDAS?) and 5th grade math (fractions, word problems) that we encounter everyday, and I must say one can’t get through life without even learning these basic math.

Life is like gambling. You cannot gain anything without betting something. It would be too good to be true to do nothing and get rich.

I’m trying to imagine the big difference it will make in my life if I play casino game and win. Most people in my family, like my mom, older brother and aunt, love to gamble. I, on the other hand, don’t have it on my personality as I don’t like taking risks. But only those who put something on the line get to reap something.

I’ve never played in online casinos for real money. The only gambling I made online is playing slots in Gaia, an online hangout incorporating gaming and a virtual world. Not bad since no real money involved, just Gaia money which I earned from playing it religiously back in the days.

I was never lucky, and it maybe the reason I stay away from gambling. But who knows, many things change with time, no?
