… it’s the birth of Resident Evil 4: Afterlife. More on that at the bottom of my post.
My highschool (til college) friends and I met up at ATC this afternoon for a dinner/movie date. It’s been a long time since we last went out! There were only 4 of us (instead of what used to be 10), nevertheless I really really had a great time!
We dined at Amici, an Italian restaurant. It was my first time to taste their food. Thanks to Jer for treating us! He ordered Tutta Carne pizza, Spaghetti Alla Bolognese and Spaghetti Alla Carbonara. I never liked Sbarro, I thought I’d never like anything very Italian-style, but Amici proved me wrong. I liked the pizza and carbonara so much!
It was my first time to try out gelato! Tastes better and creamier than regular ice cream, a little pricey though. I had mint with chocolate gelato from Caramia (Amici’s gelateria), very yummy, it reminded me of my favorite chocolate Andes!

After filling our stomachs with good stuff that is Amici, we headed to the cinema. We’re supposed to watch Despicable Me but all seats are taken… so we watched Resident Evil 4 in 2D instead. Yeah I mentioned in my previous entry I’m supposed to wait for it in 3D and watch it with my Pi, but good thing he allowed me to watch it with my friends instead. Such a nice and understanding guy he really is!
Aside from being a huge follower of the Resident Evil movie series, I wanted to see Resident Evil 4: Afterlife mainly because of Wentworth Miller, more known as Michael Scofield of the hit American TV series “Prison Break”.
He plays the character of Chris Redfield, brother of Claire Redfield who was introduced in the 2nd installment. I was very curious on how he would fare as an actor for a different and more challenging role.
Who said he’s gonna play something different from what he’d done on Prison Break? I just assumed. And I was wrong hahaha! It was like Prison Break all over again, only with zombies this time.
I won’t spoil the entire movie for you, so I’ll just give hints on the similarities:
- Prison setting
- Wentworth held prison
- Wentworth being the only one who knows how to escape out of prison
- Wentworth going through underground tunnel to escape
The movie, has less gore and more hopeful scenarios/semi-endings compared to the previous movies. Still kickass. I remain a fan!
Here’s a picture of me with my future husband Wentworth (in my dreams!), taken yesterday (when we watched The Last Exorcism lol) Show ▼
During our 4 hours together, we exchanged stories and it feels good knowing everyone’s doing good in life. Basically, that sums up our little get-together. Hope for more times like these, can’t wait for our next meeting!
