I haven’t mentioned about going to the hospital for the past few weeks, and for the first time I’m gonna blog about it.
My Aunt, who lives with us and has been taking care of me and my brother since we were born, has been suffering from allergies and foot ulcer recently. In case you didn’t know, she has diabetes, and it runs in our blood. And oh, she has high cholestorol too.
It all started a couple of months ago, when her feet started having wounds on its own. We had her checked up a couple of times. She took medications and recovered for a while. But it seems doing household chores were taking an even greater toll on her body, her diabetic foot came back. And with allergies this time.
This time we brought her to another hospital, Philippine General Hospital (or commonly known as PGH). Its a bit far from our place, but it was worth all the trouble. She had been examined by dermatologists and medicine doctors, given prescriptions, and scheduled for weekly checkups, all for free. This time, her recovery seems for real. Even if she did household chores, she seemed to remain fine. I hope, this will continue to a full recovery til she stops needing her maintenance drugs one-by-one.
Thanks to my other Aunt who works in PGH and assisted us, we owe her a lot! I can’t help but notice her fashionable cotton scrubs. I may not work in the health care industry, but I think I know how hard it is to find a good pair of scrubs. In any case, are you a medicine student looking for scrub sets? I found a site where to buy medical scrubs online just like my Aunt’s. Feel free to check out the site through the links!
