Me and my boyfie Paxxie went on a bowling date yesterday, it was our 39th Monthsary two days ago.
He has never played bowling before, and so I was eager on letting him experience it.
Bowling. I had Duckpin Bowling classes back in college (I know it’s somehow different from Ten-Pin Bowling, but whatever… it helps) , and had tried Ten-pin Bowling a few times. Obviously I was at an advantage, but he won the game!
I guess it’s because he can roll the 8+ pounds ball faster than any girl. Or maybe it’s just beginner’s luck! haha.
Piso Game. After bowling, we peeked into the arcade beside the bowling area. The piso game machine caught my attention!
It was very addicting!
The game goes like, you drop a peso coin in the slot and see if your coin lands properly and pushes other coins off the edge, and these falling coins determine how many tickets you get. We were unlucky, we had dropped all our coins on that machine and this is just what we got for trading the tickets:

Paper strips with cute designs, used in making origami paper stars!
At least now, I can make origami paper stars when I’m bored, lol!
But I gotta go to the mall first and find a nice jar to put them in.
Food. Instead of Kenny Rogers and Dairy Queen, we settled on eating at Jollibee and Dairy Queen instead. I had promised to trim down my expenses this year as one of my resolutions.
But Dairy Queen is a must!
Movie. We were supposed to watch a movie. Torn between choosing “The Spirit” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button“. Since we’re both Frank Miller fans, we both wanted to see “The Spirit” even if the reviews were not good. “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” had good feedbacks, but I’m not into drama. Since both of us we’re already tired, it’s already evening and we’re both miles away from home, we decided to watch next time instead. Hah.
Bottom line is, I had a wonderful time with my boyfie. Well, every hour or minute I spend with him is wonderful.
Questions:
- Have you tried playing bowling? How was it?
- Have you seen either “The Spirit” or “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”? What do you think of these movies?
