Disclaimer: I wasn’t paid by Cello’s to write this, I’m just head over heels in love with their doughnuts, that’s why. I just like sharing about good food!

I had my first Cello’s donut back in college. They have a branch in Katipunan so Cello’s is common and a favorite to Ateneo and UP Diliman students.

Pax brings me donuts, Cello’s donuts in particular, from time to time. I just won in a bet against him and I requested a box of Cello’s assorted mini donuts as I’ve been craving too much for it lately. Here it is:

They have the best flavors ever. My personal favorites are their famous cheese (the one with yellowish white powder at the far end) and oreo donuts! 

What I love about their donut, aside from the flavor/toppings, is the sweet, light and soft dough!  Dough is pale in color, not brownish burnt. Just the way I like it!

I like it WAY better compared to Krispy Kreme, Go Nuts Donuts, and <insert donut store name here>. No exaggerations. I almost won’t buy any other donut other than Cello’s. Pax and everyone here at home loves Cello’s donuts to bits as well!

And did I ever mention that they make letter donuts too? It’s made-to-order and a perfect sweet gift for your loved ones. My friend used to order these for her crush’s birthday!

You’ve got to try these! Their regular donuts cost 28 PHP apiece. They have branches in ATC, Katipunan and in SM North Sky Garden.

Last Monday Pax turned 23 years old and we now have the same age once again, heh. So hard to come up with gift ideas for guys, don’t you agree? I didn’t really know what to get him til I asked for his wishlist. I settled on a black Casio watch. He liked it and wore it ever since, yay!

Anyway, it was just a simple celebration. I got off from work the earliest I could so we could watch the movie Inception and eat Taco Bell for dinner.

Inception… is a mindfuck. I love the movie, despite the fact that I was having a hard time figuring out the words the characters were saying. You know I’d trade the cinema for a movie with subtitles at home (I love subtitles, you won’t miss a thing!), but I couldn’t wait til this movies comes out in DVD, so there. Besides I’ve already waited months for this ever since I learned Page, Gordon-Levitt & Murphy, three artists I’m very fond of, are casted in this movie! Had enough the wait, I guess? Moving on, the special effects & stunts were amazing, the entire elevator part is my favorite! The story is brilliant, it will leave you guessing at the end.

Since it was Pax’s birthday, we tried to make it a little special by enticing our tastebuds with new food. We decided it’s gonna be Taco Bell because a few members of my favorite Korean group U-Kiss posted online pictures of them dining in Taco Bell just recently and said that their food were yummy. Okay so, first time I’ve eaten food from Taco Bell, and for crying out loud, I haven’t had a clear look on my food!  There was no Taco Bell at the mall were in, so he ordered it as a take-out from another mall. And we had no other choice but to eat it inside the cinema - we couldn’t eat it outside either coz I figured out mall’s already closed by the time were done with the movie. Anyhow, I love their Nachos Supreme and Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes! Will definitely eat it again and again! I just love anything with cheese and potatoes. And yeah, we had Quikly Choco Loco Super of course. It’s like our favorite drink ever!

Pax also brought me Cello’s doughnuts (pictures in the next entry) after winning a Prison Break-related bet. I love how I always win against him, lol. Win = more food.

Even though we just spent around 2 hours together, I really had a great time that night. Hoping for more days like these to come!
