Last Sunday, me and my high school friends (also my college friends since we all went to the same university) went to visit Enchanted Kingdom once again. For those not familiar, Enchanted Kingdom is the first and most famous theme park in the Philippines. For only 500 PHP, you get to ride all you can (though there are others rides with separate fees).
Around 6-10 years ago we had a school field trip there. During the years that passed, new rides were introduced, a few old rides were gone but good to know my favorite old rides such as Space Shuttle and Jungle Log Jam were still there.

Shots taken using only a 2MP phone cam: 1. Grand Carousel 2. Fountains upon entrance 3. Outside Rio Grande Rapids 4. Enchanted Kingdom entrance
One of the rides I enjoyed the most would be Rio Grande Rapids, despite getting wet a couple of times from my top down to shoes and itching all over (the water must be very dirty!). We were only 8 (sad that some weren’t able to come) and fit exactly in one round, rubber boat. I never thought guessing whose side will get hit by the waves and tossing the bags around to prevent it from getting wet can be so much fun.
Another fave ride of mine is the Space Shuttle. The harness has improved, I must say it has gone tighter but I like it. At least no more slamming hard to the steel back unlike before.
We watched “Journey to the Center of the Earth” (the film that starred Brendan Fraser) in 4D at Enchanted Kingdom’s 4D Discovery Theater. In case you’re wondering, 4D is like seeing the movie in 3D with the chairs moving, air blowing and water squirting on you.
Though we paid an extra 60 PHP for this, it was well worth the price. It lasted for only 15 minutes, hence, what we saw was a shortened version of the film.
We also watched the fireworks before we headed home. I brought home this very cute plushie given by a friend whom I haven’t seen for almost a year and just came back from Japan, she was with us at EK:

Cute, neh? it’s a San-X plushie of Kogepan (the burnt one) and a kireipan which looked like a Nohohon Zoku. She knew I love nohohons, thank you Shie!
I rarely post a picture with me on it, but I really really love this shot:

To sum it all up, I enjoyed our Enchanted Kingdom visit and I don’t regret passing up U-Kiss’ mall show at SM North for this.
EK is just one of the few places that got me feeling like I’m a kid all over again even amidst all grown-up problems, with the help of old friends of course.
Have you ever been to Enchanted Kingdom? What are your favorite rides?
