If you wanna know who Bliss Cavendar is, I suggest you watch the movie “Whip It” (2009), it’s a totally kickass movie! She’s someone I wish I had been when I was younger… in terms of choices, having fun and pursuing what you enjoy doing.

Watch it, you’ll surely love it! Who knows, she could be your newest hero too. Here’s a link to the official trailer and the poster which I obviously pasted just for you:

A fun, female empowerment through roller derby (a violent sport, tough girls in skates) movie. Moms and daughters, girlfriends, guys who like tough girls or simply anyone who loves good movies should see this.

Ellen Page (Juno) played Bliss Cavendar (the girl in the poster above). And yeah, it’s Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut. I never liked Drew before, but her character in the film and the fact that she directed this really awesome movie changed everything.

Now a favorite. Two thumbs up!
